What is OSHA 10- & 30-Hour Training?
Here’s a question that comes up every year from employees and employers.
What is OSHA 10 & 30 hour training and who needs to take it and where can I get it?
The OSHA 10 & 30 hour training cover workplace safety and health hazards for workers and supervisors and is OSHA’s Outreach Training Program.
Online and in person classes are available for:

- General Industry
- Maritime Industry

Although OSHA there is nothing in OSHA regulations that specifically require anyone to take the 10 &30 hour training, employees and employers are finding more and more that they are being required to have either the 10 or 30 hour training to work on certain projects.
Companies should always check the safety section of their contracts to see if 10 or 30 hour training is required for workers and supervisors on the project because of the time it takes to get employees trained.
If an employee must take a 10 hour course, it will take them a minimum of 2 days to complete since OSHA limits training time to 7.5 hours a day.A 30 hour class will take 4 days to complete the course.
When considering where you or your employees will take the 10 and 30 training it is always go idea to make sure to confirm the providers are OSHA Authorized. To find online or classroom providers and more information on the 10 & 30 hour training Click Here.
